Experience the "hidden river"
Through research at the intersections of science and art, through digital investigations, historical and contemporary explorations, the LSR Corps brings together a diverse group of partners to explore and experience the lower Schuylkill River as it never has been before. We are a public group of scholars and community members formed to increase knowledge about Philadelphia's urban waters and to promote their stewardship. We are in the process of incorporating as a 501c3. At present our work is supported by the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Bartram's Garden.
Check out our brand new website (still in development). It will grow into a comprehensive, collaborative river archive. Our research seminars will be archived there as well as oral histories, art work, environmental data, teaching materials, tour guides, etc. Perhaps you will contribute!

The Floating on Warmer Waters initiative, which supports the work of the #LSRCorps, is a collaboration between artist Mary Mattingly, Bethany Wiggin, and Bartram’s Garden. It is supported by the Whiting Foundation, as described here.
