EcoTime Film Series: Racing Extinction

The screening of the critically acclaimed documentary Racing Extinction (2015) followed by a panel discussion will take place at the International House as the opening event of TIMESCALES

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Louis Psihoyos, Racing Extinction includes the perspectives of a variety of artists and activists who address mass extinction and endangered species. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion between Rahul Mukherjee (Penn), Tad Schurr (Penn), and Gina Papabeis (film co-producer) along with a Q&A.

EcoTime is a film series in conjunction with the TIMESCALES that seeks to extend the conversations of the main conference (20-22 Oct). Each of the films will explore issues of different environmental temporalities and ecological timescales that issues of include deep time, adaptation, and futurity. The film series is co-sponsored by Cinema Studies and PPEH.
